Inside the Orchestra
The typical symphony orchestra consists of four proportionate groups of similar musical instruments called the woodwinds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon), brass (horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba) percussion (drums, cymbals and timpani), and strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass).
