OSYO Fall Concert

Saturday, November 27

Sunday, November 28

Sunday, November 28

Online ticket sales have closed. Tickets will be available at the door.

The OSYO Fall Concert will feature cellist Angela Zeng – a star in the making. “Her solo performance of the first movement of the Dvorak Cello Concerto is quite simply awe-inspiring and we are delighted to showcase her on this concert,” says Rosemary Thomson.

In addition, trombonist and Grade 12 student composer Dryden Bennett, will have his composition Rain at the End of Time performed by the OSYO. “This is Dryden’s second orchestral composition. His first one, Tangerine Trees, was included in the October concert of the OSO,” says Dennis Colpitts with pride. The OSYO is the only youth orchestra in the country to offer the opportunity for students’ compositions to be performed.

The OSYO will also be performing Camille Saint Saёns’ Symphony No. 1, Johannes Brahms Academic Festival Overture, and a selection of music from the Video Games Live catalogue arranged by Ralph Ford.
