Principal Viola

OKANAGAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Rosemary Thomson, Music Director, announces auditions for the following Core vacancy

Principal Viola - effective no later than September 2019

The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra is a per service orchestra with a core of 20 musicians.

National auditions will be held as follows:

Principal Viola: Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 11:00 am

Location: Kelowna Community Theatre, 375 Water Street, Kelowna

National auditions are open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only.

The three year Collective Agreement (2016 – 2019) provides the following wages and conditions for the 2018-2019 season.

  • Services: minimum 56
  • Benefits: Group Benefit Plan + 14% CFM – Musicians’ Pension Fund of Canada contribution
  • Compensation - Principal: $144.06 per service + $34.28 per service expense payment + 4% vacation pay

The Core musicians of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra are Canadian members of the Canadian Federation of Musicians.
