2025/2026 Okanagan Symphony Chorus

We are delighted to invite you to join the Okanagan Symphony Chorus for a stellar singing opportunity with the OSO!  


SPRING PRODUCTION: Sunrise Mass  

Three OSO performances: May 8–10, 2026 

Create some magic with the OSO and Ola Gjeilo’s ‘Sunrise Mass’. This symphonic mass for choir and string orchestra will open the season’s final concerts in May—also featuring Beethoven’s 5th Symphony—and will be conducted by the OSO’s new Music Director, Julian Pellicano. Sunrise Mass will set the mood of the concert with beautiful spheric harmonies with strings and singers unified throughout in a singular developmental drive as the sun rises. 

Inspired by contemporary film music and describing emotional landscapes, this piece may seem easy at first but challenges the singers to become one entity in order to create a clear and homogeneous sound.  

Participation in the chorus will require singers to learn the music at home before the first rehearsal. Practise tracks will be provided with the music. Placement hearings are scheduled for November and December. 

Chorus Director: Terry Pitt-Brooke 

Time Commitment: 2 weekends (Fri-Sun), max. 5 Wednesday nights, 1 concert weekend (Wed-Sun)

Fees and Registration

Participation fees for the Sunrise Mass production are $150/person (excluding accommodation).   

Singing in the OSO Chorus offers you:

Please complete the form below by December 31 to register. Fees can be paid through PayPal or by credit card using the extended PayPal payment system. No auditions required.  Placement hearings will take place in November and December.
