What we do.

See it. Hear it. Love it.

The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra is the third largest professional symphony orchestra in British Columbia and has entertained residents and visitors from around the world for over 60 years. Through our concerts and programs we bring the passion of classical music to life throughout the Okanagan valley. In addition to concerts, our community and school programs bring unique music and learning experiences to children and families. Our flagship Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra gives youth the support and opportunity to perform in front of live audiences under the direction of our Music Director.

What we need.

Our Executive Director (ED) is looking for a right-hand person to help develop strategies to attract and retain donors and to increase our visibility in the communities of Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon.

What you will do.

You will work closely with the ED and provide leadership and guidance to the marketing team (currently 2 part-time staff plus volunteers) and deliver on strategies through effective project planning, execution and follow-up.

The job.

To create and deliver a donor stewardship program that builds lasting relationships with the Okanagan Symphony Society (OSS). You will create and deliver marketing programs to promote all our offerings. You will also direct, assign and delegate marketing and fundraising related tasks to staff and volunteers in order to deliver projects on time and on budget. The communication and public relations responsibilities require that you coordinate and deliver all internal and external messaging – building great relationships with everyone you connect within the course of your role.
