Joe Berarducci
Children and students of music are lucky to have Joe Berarducci as a resident of Kelowna. With many decades of experience as a school music teacher, Carl Orff specialist, university and college instructor, festival adjudicator, Conservatory Canada examiner, author, choral director, piano and theory teacher, he is a treasure-trove of knowledge and expertise in music education. Joe holds a BMus from UBC and an MA in Music from Western Washington University. He has been a leader at both the provincial and national levels of Carl Orff Canada and was granted an Honorary Life Membership by that organization in 2006. Joe and his wife Helen developed the 12-show, three-season series of Storytime concerts. Originally created for Orange County’s Pacific Symphony, these delightful, interactive musical experiences have been part of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra’s community engagement programs since 2014.
