Named after the Norse goddess of love, Freya is a musical duo that channels the essence of their namesake with every note. With intertwining melodies and exquisite harmonies, the duo has transformed their serendipitous convergence into a distinct and original sound that evokes passion, anguish and the natural beauty that rests at the heart of their music.

Noel Fudge combines fingerpicking, strumming, percussive techniques and a range of alternative tunings that showcase compositional mastery. His playing stands alone as stunning, yet invites the intricately woven string melodies of partner and co-writer Martine denBok. Known primarily as an accomplished, classically trained musician and principal second violinist of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, denBok’s lush, sensuous tone and melodic phrasing pull at the heartstrings.

Together, the duo creates an unmistakably unique sound that is both fresh and timeless. Fudge and denBok live in New Denver, BC, on the shores of Slocan Lake.

Leila Naderi | Vocalist

Voted Favourite Female Artist at the GO People’s Choice Awards in 2023, Leila Naderi is a local composer, arranger, vocalist, pianist and the choir director of the Kelowna Rock Choir.

Previously known as powerhouse musician Leila Neverland, Ms Naderi is best known in the valley as a long-time live performer and community worker.

She offers her original music in a variety of arrangements and stages from intimate solo sets to rockin’ eight-piece big bands, community theatre shows, festivals, and arts education programs for children.

Ms Naderi spent her youth singing with multi-award winning choir director Mitch Bondy in the Northlea Public School junior choir in Toronto, the Toronto Children’s Chorus, the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus, and attended the musical theatre program at the Etobicoke School of the Arts. 

Her training also includes the Royal Conservatory of Music’s classical piano program, jazz piano with Laura Silverman in Toronto, and an 18-month arrangement intensive with jazz radio charting Cellar Live composer and Vancouver-based educator Neil Gray. 

She is currently on her twelfth original album project mastered by 21-Grammy award winner Howie Weinberg and due out this Summer 2026. 

Locally and in the community, she is the co-founder of the non-profit Moonlight Jazz Society and the project creator of Pianos in the Park in partnership with Festivals Kelowna.

She also facilitates private and group Inner Voice coaching services with in-person workshops, an online community, and a roster of private music students.

Okanagan Symphony Chorus

Comprised of about 100 volunteer singers from throughout the Okanagan Valley, the Symphony Chorus rehearses on a ‘per project’ basis joining the orchestra to perform a diverse repertoire.

Past major works have included Messiah (Handel), The Creation (Haydn), Carmina Burana (Orff), and Verdi’s Requiem. Other notable presentations include ‘A Night at the Proms’, ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ and ‘Spooktacular,’ which included the world premiere of The Raven, a unique setting by Gary Fry for orchestra, choir, and narrator based on the poem by Edgar Allan Poe.
